Vallejo Model Colour and Model Air Paints- Monday 10 September, 2007	Viewed:146

Due to the problems that we are facing following the withdrawal of the Tamiya TS, AS and MS spray paints and some of the X and XF paints I would like to make a suggestion for my customers.

Vallejo paints are available in 2 different varieties, Model Colour and Model Air.

The Model Colour range includes 220 colours, very highly pigmented ideal for all modelling needs. The colours brush on smoothly and cover large surface areas easily and without showing brushstrokes, their texture makes them equally perfect for tiny detail or miniature artwork.

All the shades dry to a Matt finish except for the metallic and transparent colours. If a glossy, laquered finish is required add one or two thin coats of Brilliant Varnish. Model Colour can be diluted with water and all colours can be mixed with one another. The product does not contain solvents and is not flamable.

If you have never given Air brushing a go, now is the right time.

Model Air is a range of liquid acrylic colours developed especially for airbrush techniques. The resistence, hardness and covering power of Model Air is superior to any known acrylic for airbrushing.

The colours have been carefully chosen to provide the modelpainter with the references most requently employed. Model Air adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. The adhesion of Model Air to resin models, plastics, steel and white metal is extrraordinary. A primer is not normally needed, however if the object to be painted dark, a base coat of white or grey primer will bring out the luminosity of the colours.

So if you need paint, give these a try, they are great.
